Arnold Schwarzenegger, the man who has been mesmerizing millions of film audiences for the past three decades is all set to receive the ‘Golden Icon’ award at this year’s Zurich Film Festival. This year’s festival will be conducted from September 24 – October 04, 2015, and the Universal action icon will receive the honor on September 30 at Zurich Corso Cinema.

‘Golden Icon’ award is considered to be the most prestigious award at the Zurich Film Festival. The award is usually given to impeccable personalities who have given their life for the betterment of movie industry.

ZFF artistic director Karl Spoerri said that Zurich Film Festival is privileged to welcome Arnie to the event, and it is their most proud moment to honor the legendary actor with the ‘Golden Icon’ award.

“Arnold has had a transformative career that no one in Hollywood can match and established himself as a global brand, even beyond the box office. We are honored to present him with our Golden Icon award at this year’s Festival”, said Karl Spoerri.

During the event, Schwarzenegger will also present his latest movie ‘Maggie’ which is a Zombie drama. His latest release was ‘Terminator Genisys’, and the movie collected a whooping $435 million from the International Box Office.
