AARP Movies for Grownups Film Festival opens on November 14th

The Secret Life of Walter MittyA movie festival for grownups, especially for those over 50 was on the cards of various film fraternities for years, and now it is going to be real with AARP Movies for Grownups Film Festival. This film festival which is solely dedicated for people above the age group of 50 will open on November 14th, and will continue till November 17th on Regal Cinemas Los Angeles.

The film festival will feature nine films which are meant for matured audience, and these movies will be considered for the annual movies for the grownups awards. The movies which are going to get screened in the festival are, 12 Years a Slave, with a post-screening Q&A with stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lupita Nyong‘o and director Steve McQueen; Nebraska, with a post-screening Q&A with stars Bruce Dern, June Squibb, Stacy Keach and director Alexander Payne; Labor Day, with a post-screening Q&A with director/screenwriter Jason Reitman and author Joyce Maynard; The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, with a Ben Stiller Q&A; and Saving Mr. Banks with a post-screening session with director John Lee Hancock.

All the movies mentioned above are meant to satisfy the taste of mature audiences. The festival is a clear epitome of Hollywood’s commitment towards grown up viewers, and this is absolutely a healthy trend which is to be encouraged.
