The Boston International Kids Film Festival: A film festival Solely Dedicated for Kids
The Boston International Kids Film Festival is scheduled from November 1st – 3rd at the Somerville Theater, and this film festival is renowned as the fest which is solely dedicated for kids. The film festival will feature various films, shorts and documentaries, and there will be also a workshop in media understanding.
The film festival will be kick started by the screening of Arcadia directed by Olivia Silver. The movie stars Academy Award nominee John Hawks, and he will be seen as a father who takes his three kids on a cross-county trip without their mother. ‘Amka and the three golden rules’ is another film which is being screened in the festival. The movie is directed by Babar Ahmed, and the film tells the story of Amka, a 10 year young boy who runs to trouble after getting a gold coin.
A documentary names, ‘The Making of Malala’ is another attraction of the festival. The documentary portrays the journey of Malala from a 11 year old Pakistani girl to a spokesperson of women’s education.
The festival will also witness several workshops and one among them will be facilitated by Jeannine M. Lenehan. There will be some Q and A sessions after the screening of the movies, and this will bring awareness about the media industry to the kids.
