Vancouver International Film Festival calls for entries
Vancouver International Film Festival is one of the most reputed International film events in North America. Last year, the festival screened 349 films from various corners of the world. Almost 1,44,000 attendees made their presence in the 16 day festival. The 34th edition of Vancouver International Film Festival is scheduled from September 24 – October 9, 2015. The recent news from this corner is regarding the details of submission for entries.
Movie makers can now submit their features and short films to get screened in this prestigious platform. The early-bird deadline is May 1st 2015, while June 26th 2015 is the regular deadline. Filmmakers who submit the movies in earlybird deadline will be eligible for discount in entry fee.
Filmmakers who submit their movies through withoutabox.com will receive $5 discount on the entry fees.
Vancouver International Film Festival is known for providing hefty prizes for the movies which participates in the competition section. Last year, VIFF offered $32,500 in cash prizes plus another $30,000 in services and prize packs as part of five adjudicated awards. Audience awards were also announced in four categories in the 2014 festival.
