Vanessa Williams the singer actress and her fiancé Jim Skrip tied the knot in New York Saturday in front of their family and friends, her rep confirmed to the media on Sunday.
The 52 Year- old actress previously boasted about Skrip- who she met during a vacation in Egypt nearly three years ago- and how he “accepted me for who I was”.
The “Ugly Betty” alum has been married twice before. First to her former manager Roman Harvey from 1987 to 1997, who she has three children with, followed by former NBA player Rick Fox, who she married in 1999 before divorcing five years later. Williams also has one child with Fox.
But after her “first three-hour date” with Skrip, the pair fell for each other and got engaged after just over a year of dating.
Williams first announced she was getting married for the third time during an appearance on the now-canceled “Queen Latifah Show.”
“I just got engaged a couple weeks ago, “she gushed in September after Latifah pointed out the bling Williams was sporting.
“You go across the world to find somebody who’s six hours away,” she added.
Williams wasn’t the only celebrity to tie the knot on America’s birthday.
Billy Joel wedded his 33 year old pregnant girl friend, Alexis Roderick, , in a surprise ceremony during their annual Independence Day party on the famed musicians Long Island estate. It’s his fourth marriage.

As per latest reports, the film which has bypassed a theatrical release will gets its debut on Lifetime Cable Network on May 25, 2015.
Earlier, the makers of the movie were planning to release the movie on November 2013. But later, the release of the film was subsequently pushed back to Spring 2014.
‘Grace of Monaco‘ is basically a biopic film about renowned American actress Grace Kelly. Nicole Kidman enacted the role of Grace Kelly in the movie, while Tim Roth did the role of Prince of Monaco.
The supporting star cast in the movie includes, Frank Langella, Parker Posey, Milo Ventimiglia, Derek Jacobi and Paz Vega.
‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson is literally creating history in the International Box Office. The film which was made with a budget of 40 million USD has succeeded in collecting a whooping 400 million USD from theatres all over the world.

The Sarajevo Film Festival‘s co production market, ‘Cinelink‘ have announced the titles of eight films which got selection for this year. The list has been chosen from the first call for entries from from first and second time directors who are interested in preperatory workshops which will be conducted from April 3rd – April 07th 2015.
One of the main highlights of the selection list is ‘Crows’ directed by Turkish Film maker Erol Mintas. The movie is produced by Asli Erdem. Erol Mintas’s ‘Song of My Mother’ had won the Best Film and Best Actor Award in the last season of Sarajevo International Film Festival.
Romanian film ‘Soldiers’ is another anticipated project which has been selected in this lineup. The film is directed by Ivana Mladenovic, and it is produced by Ada Solomon. Ivana’s ‘Turn off the lights’ has previously won the ‘Best Documentary Award’ in the year 2012 at the Sarajevo.

The 16th edition of the much reputed Jeonju International Film Festival, South Korea is scheduled from April 30th – May 09th 2015. The recent news from the corner is regarding the finalization of lineup which will be screened in the festival. As per credible reports, the film festival will screen more than 200 titles from 47 countries.
Australian director, Ariel Kleiman’s ‘Partisan’ will open this year’s festival. The film is a gritty drama, and it had its world premiere at Sundance this January. The film is blessed with an ensemble star cast, and it includes biggies which includes Vincent Cassel, Nigel Barber and Jeremy Chabriel.
This year’s festival will feature 19 films more than the last year’s event. Last year, 181 movies were screened in this festival. Last time, the festival screened more than 200 movies were way back in 2010.
The main venue of the festival will be CGV Jeonju Hyoja cinema.
This year’s event is loaded with umpteen numbers of specialties. The main highlight of the festival is a special program which is dedicated to Greek New Wave Cinema. Another major attraction of this year’s festival is the inclusion of female directors. More than 27% cinemas in the festival are being crafted by female directors.
The much reputed Edinburg Film Festival is all set to launch a Film Distribution Market as a part of their 2015 edition festival. The program is named, ‘Distribution Rewired’, and it is specially designed to support filmmakers in models including ‘direct’ and ‘self-distribution’ and connect them with online distributors.
The film market allows selected filmmakers to screen their movies in front of aggregators and other related service providers. The film distribution event is expected to take place on June 22 – 23, in association to the overall program offered to industry delegates and filmmakers.

‘Interstellar’, the sci-fi movie directed by Christopher Nolan has won the ‘Best Film’ prize at the prestigious Empire Film awards. The award ceremony was conducted at London on March 29th evening.
Christopher Nolan was present during the award function. Apart from being selected as the best film, Christopher Nolan also bagged the Inspiration Honor. The honor was presented to Nolan by Jessica Chastain who enacted the role of Murphy Cooper in ‘Interstellar’. Nolan was welcomed with a standing ovation as he walked on to the stage.
On the other hand surprisingly, Andy Serkis who enacted a memorable role in ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’. The audience who took part in the voting found Andy’s performance much impeccable than Oscar-winner Eddie Redmayne and favourite Benedict Cumberbatch.
Ralph Fiennes was honored with the ‘Empire Legend’ award. Last year, the actor enacted a spectacular role in ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’. He accepted the award from Universal Action Icon Liam Neeson. Neeson and Fiennes have previously worked together in the much acclaimed film, ‘Schindler’s List’.
“The ‘L’ word is best only applied to a small number of dead actors and is best treated with irony”, said Fiennes after accepting the award.
